EHUMC Estimate of Giving 2023.png

I hope you were able to attend or view our Homecoming worship service on September 19th. It was wonderful to see so many of our current and former members at worship and the luncheon. Despite the closing of our buildings during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, WE – the church, have been and will continue to be the church to our congregation and our community, and we will continue to face the ever-changing landscape with hope and love.

Fall is the time for our traditional Stewardship campaign. Over the next several weeks, Pastor Jordan and members of the congregation will be offering insights about the practice of giving as a response to God’s grace, and that generosity has strengthened and deepened their faith. Our celebration Sunday will be October 16th, with Rev. John Simmons, a former minister at Embry Hills is coming back to preach with us. His long and successful ministry was helped launch because of the great witness of this church. We believe giving is part of discipleship and promotes spiritual growth. Our gifts of time, money, and service bear witness to the incredible people who call Embry Hills their home church.

This year’s stewardship theme is Because of Embry Hills. I hope you can imagine all the different ways your lives have been impacted Because of Embry Hills. How many people have come through our doors and had formational experiences Because of Embry Hills. How many people can hear the good news of God’s grace and redemption Because of Embry Hills. We learn very early on that the church is not a building, or a steeple, or resting place, but the church is the people. It is the same in our giving as all our gifts are what contribute to the ministry and witness of our church so that someone, someday will be able to point to a significant moment in their faith journey, Because of Embry Hills.

Whether you decide to pledge or not, I encourage you to consider making a recurring gift with automatic payments from your bank account or using a debit or credit card. Setting up a monthly bank draft or periodic charges reinforces your giving decision and makes your support regular and dependable. Details for making a recurring gift are listed on the Ways to Give page. If you have questions, please call the church office: (770-938-0661).

A copy of your giving statement for the first three quarters of 2022 is available on REALM, and a Pledge Card is available via the button above. On behalf of the Embry Hills, thank you for your commitment to the church and for what you have given this year. Without you, we would not have been able to pivot our ministries to continue to reach out to one another and serve in ministry.

You and your gifts matter, and we pray you are continuing to grow in your faith through giving to Embry Hills UMC. Your decisions will impact the future of our church, and its witness to the community.

Thank you again for your commitment to Embry Hills United Methodist Church.
