About the Event
”The goal of Lent is to make a change that sinks deeply into life.” - Sarah Parsons, A Clearing Season.
If you have never observed Lenten practices or have experienced Lent as a long, seemingly purposeless time of self-denial, consider this: A Clearing Season shows you how to clear space in your life for God, identify obstacles that keep you from connecting with God, and chose a Lenten practice to help you remove those obstacles and connect with God personally. The study will explore spiritual practices that help us declutter our spiritual lives and connect with God. This is the study that will guide our worship design during Lent, too.
The book is available from Amazon.com and Cokesbury.com. Childcare will be provided.
Wednesday Fellowship Dinner is served starting at 6pm, so you have time to eat and get to know others at Embry Hills a little better before heading to the book study, or join in at 6:30. All are welcome.
Please register for the class by calling the church office or emailing Rev. Susan Allen Grady.
