Phased Re-Opening of our Facility in response to COVID-19

EHUMC will re-open our facility and re-gather for worship and other in-person activities following the 3-phase approach below. Some staff members and volunteers are coming by the building occasionally. Anyone entering the building should be wearing a mask.

Anyone experiencing one or more of the following should stay home:

  • feeling sick,

  • believes they may have been exposed to COVID-19,

  • is having any symptoms similar to COVID-19 symptoms, or

  • is waiting for a COVID-19 test result

We recognize that at any time, if cases begin to surge, we will step backward through the phases as necessary, returning to closure if necessary.

Please note: we are using two sources to track our number of reported cases:

Current Status

Building Closed for in-person gatherings and EH Preschool & Kindergarten.

We are in this phase when DeKalb County is in the red zone*. While our building is closed, we are offering drive-thru “office hours” for brief socially distanced and mask-covered chats as well as donation collections for various Serve projects. We are maintaining a regular but less rigorous cleaning and maintenance schedule, and some volunteers and staff members enter the building on occasion to work independently.
