I have been part of the Embry Hills United Methodist Church family for 32 years - since 1990. Both the church and my family have gone through many changes during these years. In the beginning, our two daughters were young. They benefited from Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. One daughter went to preschool here and joined the children’s choir. As they grew, they both became acolytes.
I have been involved in many aspects of this church teaching both kids and adult Sunday School, VBS, and helping with Night in Bethlehem. I have at different times been involved in Mission and now Worship committees. I joined the choir this past fall. There really is something here for everyone to get involved in.
One of the things about Embry Hills UMC I am proudest of is that we became a Reconciling Ministries Congregation in 2017. This happened due to the work and commitment of many people in our church. Many people searching for a church home look to find RMN churches. I am proud we are welcoming to everyone.
Our church has been involved in many different outreach projects both local and international including American Red Cross Blood Drives, helping Trinity Kitchen provide meals for the homeless, Snax Sax, LaAmistad, Networks, and Wellroot.
Embry Hills UMC has supported me and my family for many years through many life changes. I want to continue to support the church so it can continue to help our congregation, our community, and beyond.
