If you are 10-years-old or a rising 5th grader, you are eligible to become an acolyte for Embry Hills United Methodist Church. Training will begin on Sunday March 4 at 9:45 (the Sunday School hour). Training will continue on Sunday the 11th and 18th. Sunday March 25th is Acolyte Recognition Sunday and you will receive your first cross and be officially inducted at that time. It’s a great honor to be part of the service on Sundays. So come on along and join us.

The Prayer Ministry has published its Prayer Calendar for this month. Please click the attachment below to print your copy.

If you’ve ever had a hankering to read the Bible, there’s no time like the present. And the Prayer Ministry, chaired by Dodie Risse, has made it easy for you to do so. Located throughout the church are printed guides showing how you can read the entire Bible in a year. Pick one up today and make sure this is one resolution you plan to keep in 2012.

Start out the new year right and start exercising!! Stop by one the 5, 6, 7, 8 beginner line dance classes and check out a fun way to exercise! These classes are offered on Mondays and Tuesdays in Room 312:
Mondays: 4:45 pm - basic beginner & 6:00 pm - beginner
Tuesdays: 4:45 pm - beginner & 6:00 pm – high beginner

You’ve spoken and we’ve listened! In our 4th quarter 2010 communication’s survey, many of you commented that you were pleased with our communication efforts. Thank you for that confidence! However, we believe we can continue to improve how we deliver church-related news to you. We, too, have to be good stewards of church resources as well as deliver timely information. Nothing is more frustrating than learning about an important event (and they’re all important, right???!!!) after the event has been held.
