Throughout our lives we search for our place in our community—for roots, place and belonging. It is no different in the church setting. We yearn to be part of a caring and sharing people and to be able to build significant, healthy relationships with them. Whether you choose an ongoing commitment or a short-term program, you will find blessings in traveling your faith journey with others. Not only will your church family relationships grow, but finding a place to belong in a smaller group allows each us to feel more connected to our community of faith. No matter the length of your involvement with EHUMC, once you find a place that feeds your soul, you will soon realize that you are feeding others as well in the different ways you will share your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.
If we can be of assistance in helping you to find your roots, place and belonging, please contact us and know that staff and leadership both are here to encourage you, just let us know how we can be of service to you.
The Children’s Ministry at EHUMC is called Kidztown Ministries and we are excited to welcome you and your children! So what is KidzTown? KidzTown is a unique set of meaningful and relevant ministries designed to help you and your family to connect to God and one another.
Our energetic YOUTH MINISTRY never ceases to amaze us with their wide range of talents, activities, creativity and passion. From Sunday School classes, Praise Band, Youth Choir, Outreach Service missions to day-to-day support and fellowship, this group of future spiritual leaders shows us what it means to be a Christian in spirit and actions.
Among the members of the YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY are parents of young children, active community volunteers, and degree seekers, who range in age from 20 – ?? (as active and committed as this group is, let’s not quibble about age!)
Long-stading in tradition and constantly active and immeasurably caring, the UNITED METHODIST WOMEN (UMW) organize and conduct numerous activities throughout the year.
The UNITED METHODIST MEN (UMM) exists to declare the centrality of Christ in every man’s life. Men’s ministry leads to the spiritual growth of men and effective discipleship. This purpose is served as men are called to model the servant leadership of Jesus Christ. Membership is open to any man who indicates his desire to belong and to participate in the ministry. Meetings are held every other month in the evening and include a meal and a speaker. In months that we don’t have a formal meeting, the UMM works on projects at the church and around the community. Each Spring we have a BBQ fundraiser that helps pay for our mission projects. For more information contact Curt Halstead at 678-691-7234 or at email@example.com.
