SOURCE: JUNE, 2010
Whew! Just when I think things are going to let up for a moment and allow me to catch a breath, I find myself in a week-long state of frenziness. It's the last week of school and my graduating kindergartner is working on all 6 cylinders, the newsletter is due, one of the cars makes it way to the shop (again! and leaving me without wheels), we have swim team practice everyday...not to mention there's dinner to get on the table, a youngster to put to bed, a birthday party to plan...
Sure, life is full of the expecteds and lots of unexpecteds. But when things get too harried, I try and take a moment to reflect on what is most important in life: my family, my church, my friends, and the many blessings which have graced my life.
It's summer time, folks, but unlike the song, the livin' ain't always so easy. So when you find yourself in a stew, take a deep breath and think about the things that make you happy. Or better yet, sit down for a few moments and read the attached newsletter; it's full of stories that will lighten your heart and make you feel good all over.
