For some reason, I find myself month after month searching for ways to trim down the size of the newsletter. In fact, it's all I can do to keep it at or under 16 pages because so many good things are happening in our church.

Believe me, I'm not complaining. It gives me great joy to read firsthand about the many ways we are helping others in our community, our state, and our world. And it gives me great satisfaction to hear that you, too, like to read and learn from our newsletter.

In the pages that follow, you will read about what is happening during this period of Lent (there is an amazing Food Drive sponsored by The Heretics Sunday School Class that involves "can-struction...see page 5). Or you can learn about how the Youth Spring-to-Run 5K being held in April is bringing the community together while at the same time raising money for their summer mission trip to Savannah. The Music and Worship Arts area once again has a full performance schedule in March, and we will wind up our annual stewardship campaign on Palm Sunday.
