I like sending my baby to her own “encounter” with Jesus… She’s cared for and if they need me, I’m just down the hall. –Laura P.

Adam first came at 5 weeks and I can’t believe he’s about to “graduate” from this fantastic group. –Courtney R.

Preschoolers through 3rd Grade

9:45am – 10:45am in the KidzTown Wing

h_sm[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hat do you get when you combine fun and learning about God’s love with the faithful guidance of caring teachers? You have a wonderful Sunday school program for children.

Using the Workshop Rotation Model, children experience the stories of God’s word incorporating the various ways we each learn. Over a semi- 5-week period, children “rotate” weekly through our exciting new theme-focused learning rooms. One week it might be cooking in the KidzTown Café, or storytelling in the KidzTown Library. The next week the kids might be learning the lesson in the computer lab at the KidzTown Connection, or by watching a video in the KidzTown Cinema, or even through art or science in the KidzTown Clubhouse.

Our preschoolers are learning the same lesson of our elementary age children through a similar version of the Workshop Rotation Model.

Club 45: 4th and 5th Grade

Sundays at 9:45am & Wednesdays at 6:30 pm – Room 211

c0_sm[dropcap]C[/dropcap]lub 45, the program for our 4th and 5th graders, is designed to help bridge the gap between children’s ministry and youth ministry by offering a ministry designed exclusively for our pre-teens. As our Club 45-ers begin exploring independence and forming their own opinions and thoughts on life issues, Embry Hills UMC is a place where they feel safe and where they feel like they belong.

On Sunday mornings, Club 45-ers meet for discussion-based lessons. During this time they are challenged to move toward thinking about being a Christian more abstractly in a non-threatening manner. The Wednesday night sessions reinforce Sunday curriculum and conversations so that no one misses out, but also allows time for special projects and the space for more active forms of interaction. Lots of laughter is expected in the midst of learning on either day!

Special events for outreach and fellowship take place throughout the year specifically led by and organized for this group.

Contact Susannah Bales at susannahb@embryhillsumc.org or 770-938-0661, ext.114 for additional information or to join Club 45.

The special program at Club 45 really helps my son to channel his energy in serving and caring for others. He’s learned so much and is bonding with wonderful children his age. –Sarah M
